Owen Square Park – “The Spider Tunnel Playground”

Great for: all ages, cake enthusiasts, slide daredevils.

This is a lovely little park right next to Easton Community Centre which local to my lovely friend, Jay, of Indigo Childminding. The added bonus is that you can pop in to the community centre – they’ve got a great café (with toilets) with amazing cakes. I strongly recommend the custard tarts if they have any as they are lovingly made by a Portuguese resident and are really quite special (the chocolate brownies were also really good).

Anyway, back to the playground, yadda yadda yadda hmmmmmm….cakes….

It’s a nice little playground with some lovely little features and caters very well for all ages. The location is great as it feels really quiet – it’s well away from any busy roads (my latest bugbear) The equipment is good with a great range for the relatively small space and they’ve made great use of the natural landscape.

Great tree for climbing – always a bonus!

Apparently the bit in the middle is a bit dangerous here but our kids who are all around 3 really enjoyed it.

I love this use of the natural landscape 🙂

Surely all swings should be like this? Love it!

Huge and slightly terrifying slide

These were quite low down – S’s feet touched the ground.

Nice little assault course to get up to the slide (or you could take the stairs if you are less athletic!

I really liked this spider tunnel – I thought it could be fun for allsorts of games and if you find it too easy, you could always climb on the outside.
